Currently, there are three different types of visas available for those wishing to perform Umrah in Saudi Arabia.

The first one is the Umrah Visa, which is typically acquired through a trusted travel agent and usually comes as part of a package deal.

The second option is the Tourist Visa, a quick and convenient option that can be applied for online or obtained upon arrival.

Lastly, Saudi Arabia now offers a Transit Visa, a free visa valid for 96 hours. In the following, I'll provide a detailed guide on how to secure your Tourist Visa.

Entry: Multiple Entry in 1 year

Validity: The multiple entry visa is valid for a year from its issue date and allows for stays of up to 90 days


You must be at least 18 years old to enter alone. Travelers under the age of 18 may enter only if accompanied by a parent, grandparent, or adult sibling (over 18 years old).

Your passport must be valid for a minimum of six months beyond the date of entry into Saudi unless you are a citizen of the United States. U.S. citizens may enter as long as your passport is valid, regardless of the time remaining before expiration.
